Welcome to Equine Science!

This course is part of the Animal Science Program of Study and is designed to include a concentrated study of horses. Topics covered will include breeds, selection, uses, and other horse-related aspects of the agribusiness industry. Nutrition, reproduction, health and management of horses, and related enterprises will be emphasized. Students have the ability to start working on the requirements needed to earn their Level One Certified Vet Assistant certification, that they then may complete in the Vet Med Applications course.
