Welcome to Advanced Animal Science K!

This course is part of the Animal Science Program of Study and is designed to prepare students for careers in the field of animal science. Emphasis will be placed on the interrelatedness of human, scientific, and technological dimensions of livestock production. Instruction is designed to allow for the application of scientific and technological aspects of animal science through field and laboratory experiences. Students entering this course after taking Vet Med will find that this course supports and expands upon the knowledge and skills included in the Certified Vet Assistant (CVA) level 1 and level 2 certifications they began in the previous course. (Successfully completing Advanced Animal Science K satisfies a science credit requirement for graduation.)
